This app provides a quick and handy guide to all the body systems evaluated with ultrasound.
This app contains 443 images including photographs showing where to place the ultrasound probe, the actual ultrasound images and explanatory anatomical drawings. This app is derived from the pocket guide to the book Emergency Ultrasound, the most widely used reference and educational tool on the subject. This handy app is a great educational reference for accurately performing and interpreting ultrasound images.
The bulleted text details essentials such as clinical considerations, clinical indications, anatomical considerations, tips to improve image acquisition, and technique and normal ultrasound findings.
Ultrasound is a rapid noninvasive tool that provides emergency physicians with diagnostic information in real time. Competency in ultrasound can rapidly identify life-threatening conditions and other important clinical diagnoses. Ultrasound is now a requirement in EM residency programs, part of EM physician recertification and why more and more emergency physicians are incorporating its use in their practice.
This app is easy to navigate, allowing you to browse the contents or search for topics. The search tool shows you choices of words that appear in the text as you type so it is quick and helps with spelling issues. It also remembers past search terms so you can go back to a topic or image very easily. You can also create notes and bookmarks separately for chapters, images, and tables to enhance your learning. You can also change the text size for easier reading.
