Our Mission: At Best Alzheimer's Products, we are striving to make life better for people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, and for the people who care for them.
Staying active is an important key to maintaining quality of life. More and more, products are being designed specifically for people with Alzheimer's disease. Many products that aren't can still provide meaningful and appropriate activity for people with memory and cognitive disorders. Preserving independence is another key to quality of life, and aids for daily living (ADLs) are products that do just that. An ADL might be a telephone that helps dial the right number, a pill dispenser that ensures proper dosage, or a remote that makes watching TV easier. Entertainment is a component of everyone's quality of life, but what entertains most of us will, depending on the stage or severity, just confuse a person with memory loss or another cognitive disorder. Appropriate entertainment is a big part of a comprehensive care package. A good, stage appropriate video program, one that will engage the attention of a person with dementia, can also give a caregever a welcome respite from the duties of providing care.
There are activities, ADLs and entertainment appropriate for persons who have Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia, products that will not only improve life for these individuals, but make things easier and better for the caregiver.
