Bored with your life? Wish you could be someone else? Maybe you yearn for the exciting life of a pirate. Or a Jedi....yeah! Or....an erotic dancer!! Sorry, we can’t help you with that (what would your mom say?!?), but we can at least help you come up with your alter-ego’s name.

Use this handy app to generate a new pirate name for your bad self. Or decide on your erotic dancer name. Or when the movie extras casting agent comes calling, have your Jedi name all ready.

Hey, why keep the fun to yourself? Generate new names for your friends. Make the meeting a little more tolerable by picturing your boss as “Salty” Squid Flint. If that politician were an exotic dancer, what would his (or her!) name be?

You also have the ability to copy the generated name into the clipboard. Just tap and hold the name until the Copy menu option appears.

If you've purchased the ad-free upgrade, click the bonus-feature Lanyard button to present the generated name in a familiar "HELLO my name is" label. This view auto-rotates when the device is oriented upside-down, such as when dangling from some lanyards. (When the view is back to right-side-up, dismiss it with a double-tap and the main screen returns.)
